Antique Angel-3
A mysterious angel print in a lost book.
A memory ?
A miracle ?
Or a lost photographic process -
Remains of ancient alchemist’s art.
Mayhap an illusion of mottled old paper -
A wish-fulfillment of tired eyes
Longing for blessing.
Here are angels of victory.
Let their wings lift your imagination.
Let your dreams be rewarding.
Soar to the heavens
Unfettered from fears.

This #1 angel brought to mind the print Pinky!

Are you referring to Pinky and Blue Boy ? My mother did those as needle point when she was carrying me. If that is so, it is quite a coincidence, as today is my birthday.

Very nicely done, sir!
I was just going to say how much that first piece reminds me of old parchment… almost feels like it might have been taken from an old illuminated text… awesome!

Thanks very much. I was aiming for exactly the look and feel of an old text. When I got this result it reminded me of discussions about whether there were early experiments in light sensitive paper and the possibility of creating images. That is what triggered the poetic ramble that links the two images.

the bottom two angels remind me of my childhood dancing school trophies. strange, huh?

Not really Sheila, those victory angels are from the top of a trophy.

I knew it! lol. Thanks for the memory – I haven’t thought about those trophies in ages.
