Sheriff Creek View 4

Water Lily

Here are some more shots taken along the Sheriff Creek Nature Trail.  A range of subjects & styles, going first from an aged colour photos followed by a painterly water-lily, and then finishing with two more shots of the blue heron. The first heron shot went with Kodachrome 64 colour as a traditional nature photograph. The final image used the Kodachrome 64 colour in combination with a painterly layer using one of my paper textures. Enjoy the long weekend or whatever day you are experiencing in your part of the world.

  1. The painterly layer in the first lily pads and the last heron shot really work well. I like these effects. 🙂

Thanks George. The enlarged version of the first image emphasizes a pointillist quality . I am going to try the first heron shot as B&W. Curious to see if the heron totally disappears. 🙂 Trying to get caught up & recover, we spent a week getting Alex moved & set -up in a condo. Now, must get Tasha back in a school routine and start our next set of medical appointments. 😀

  2. These are great. They still make me want to put on the hiking boots and go for a stroll.
