You would end up going in a circle, actually a stretched out loop( about 10 km total) with the water on the one end and the wooded area on the other. 😀

Beautiful! Is that some kind of crane or heron in your fifth shot?!

Thanks. That is a blue heron in the first shot and a cormorant in the fifth.The first time we saw them a few years ago they were in a tree that was still standing in the water. The birds wings were partially open and they looked like a cross between a loon and a dino-bird.
