Thanks Robert. The pods brought up a number of memories. Childhood wandering in fields came first to mind, but as I was taking photos I thought of “exotic Star Trek plants” and seeing the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers when I was a kid on the Friday Fright Night Show from the Buffalo TV station. Those pods became a bit menacing then, none of them looked like you though. 😀

I have a few more images to post . They can give you the creeps walking by a bunch of these . Too many early Sci-Fi movies from the 50s & 60s create some memorable associations. On top of that the actual plants can be quite high. They stat swaying in the breeze and I’m ready to run from the Triffids . 😀
