Textured Text: Page of Contemplation

Page of Contemplation

Tuesday’s Textured Text has arrived.  Gaze & study this Page of Contemplation. Let your mind be guided by symbol & association. Delve deeply, explore,….. and ask yourself who is that funny  man in the upper left hand corner of the page.

***** For those of you who are interested in image processing, here is a bit of an explanation. The images of the little man, the Buddha, the dragonfly, the wheel, and the mushroom  were all photographs or parts of other photograph compositions that I have taken. The little man  and the dragonfly were modified as separate layers so that  they became line drawing with the blended background colour. The little man is actually a Christmas tree ornament ( a much beloved cinema comedian) . The background was created using scans & photos of books and paper in combination with textures I have created. Enjoy the day !

Yes. The figurine of Curly is done up in a golf outfit that was from Three Little Beers.

  2. You do some amazing things with those paper scans (reminds me of something ‘wooden’ here… or a handmade paper…)

Thanks very much. I was trying to emulate old wood block book prints and suggest layered aged material/mixed media.

An amazing conglomeration of layers and effects. Just when I think I’m beginning to understand a bit of how you do things you go and throw in something like this. Thanks for the explanation and ideas.
