Fall Angles – Environmental Deconstruction

Fall Angle

Fall Angle 2

The collapse of the Elliot Lake  mall required  the demolition of the remains of the partially standing building and the beginning of construction, at the other end of the town’s main street, of a new mall ( now stretching into a two-year project). Business has all the angles covered.

  1. Well, the trees look wonderful against the rocks. I like that idea for disposal. 🙂 Here, you have to get a permit to dispose of concrete blocks, large or small. Or any kind of concrete. The EPA comes out to approve the disposal site.

This is part of the outcome of the mall collapse. The had to start preparation for a new mall. It required blasting tons of rock and building up a retaining wall to replace the natural rock crop. Some of the blasted rock was reused to some locations for embankments or was ground down as part of the base for the parking & mall area.
