A Time for Icicles

Icicle 2 MTfr

The weather grew milder, bringing moist air , brief melting, icicles……. and daily snowfall –  5 to 10cm   almost everyday this week. Similar snowfall to continue into the weekend.

I have not been posting as often lately. Between some minor computer glitches, various mundane trials & tribulations, and my distracted mind, I have been working on some special projects.  Hopefully will be posting them in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime enjoy the wintry post – gloat/marvel if you live in more temperate climes.

Winter alters the landscape, leaving artifacts and a shifting terrain. Perspectives and elevations change over the day. The night brings wonders in the morning.

Having a very nicicle time, snow problems for now,……..sigh.

  1. I think it’s us with the snow and icicles that get to gloat. Wonderful photos and I love the warm rusty and white frames.

All that glitters is not gold,
Some of it is Ice & snow,
      When it is cold.

  2. Oh, I do love the icicles! But, you can have my share of the cold. As I always say, winter gives you a month of summer and it’s back to hauling in the lawn furniture! These are really pretty images, Joseph! Focus that incredible brain of yours and carry on! 😉

Many thanks George. Compared to our recent deep freeze it has been very mild. A couple of days near 0 Celsius – just below. 😀
The snow keeps accumulating – so do the snow photos. Wednesday morning was a crazy mess – school bus could not get on to the street. Snow plowing was a bit tardy . Later that day the sky was blue & bright.

  3. No matter how uncomfortable it gets or the damage that it can incur there is no denying the beauty of Canadian Winters.

Pretty as a picture, but pretty wicked when you are stuck travelling or cleaning up. 🙂

  5. I’m not gloating, Joseph! I’m just sitting directly in front of my electric fan. It’s been hot in Sydney but dangerously hot in other parts of Australia. Heart attacks, bush fires etc.
I’m way behind with my blogging too. It’s hard to keep up sometimes, isn’t it?
    I hope you’re well, Joseph. x
