  1. OK. You were certainly right about #6 being scary. I’m expecting “Chucky” to jump out at any minute.

      Dolls puppets, and mannequins have a magical quality that can either charm or terrify. Those frozen expressions can create warm anticipation or anxiety. Makes one reconsider what individuals with autism, especially young ones, experience when they try to decipher facial expression and social inter-action.

      • I never really thought about that before, however, now that I think of it. Not once did I ever see Cyndi or Eric (our two autistic grandchildren) play with a doll. There was not one doll in that house.
