Antique Impressions: Ski Hill in Early May

The first days of May prove to be cool, overcast , misty, and still carrying lingering signs of the winter snow heaps. The last  remains of the Mt. Dufour’s ski runs & and trails are visible in the distance, a different time & place hauntingly hanging in the mist.

  1. The texture frames add to the story of the cool lingering weather you are waiting to be replaced by the warm days of summer.

Thanks. There is not enough natural colour in the present landscape. What colour that is is there is muted & dull or artificial. The frames , as you observed, compensate. 🙂

  2. These certainly emphasize how dreary, grey and dirty it is remaining in our world. I long for sun, warmth and spring colours.

Current weather conditions seem to lend themselves to B&W or tonal images. Perhaps if the it was less cloudy, the emphasis would shift. We do have a provincial election to look forward to,…….. all those signs popping up like dandelions. 🙂
