Pink in July1

Waiting for the clouds of the Imagination to re-configure the Obvious,

waiting for the clouds, the Imagination re-configures; this is Obvious to those who listen to flowers.

Petals, knowing nothing of electrons and photons, vibrate with the breeze, as the sky whispers to the earth of stars, clouds, ……. and winged creatures caressed by air and desired by gravity.

The Imagination re-configures the clouds, obviously waiting for adjusted perspective …….

becoming a chimera, born  to test the limits of expectations on wings that defy the gravity of convention.

Chimeras, fire born –

inferno eggs exploding,

sharp pink petal-shells.

Children brightly fly over

Limited  expectations.

This is a companion piece to

The Bird on the The Wire ( click to view )

Note: This is an attempt at tanka haibun with haiga sequence ( haiga – a combination of image with poem, typically haiku). Haibun is a combination of prose and haiku.  I have replaced the haiku with a tanka stanza. See Contemporary Haibun  Online for examples.

Concerning winged creatures – click the first image to enlarge and look to the left side of the flower above extended petal.

A delicious assortment of art. I had to look hard for the winged thing 🙂

I didn’t notice the winged thing till I started working with the image. :0
Glad you enjoyed the post. 🙂

The companion piece uses B&W images -the post functions as a prompt/improv-response-found poem for this one. i am either stealing from myself or I find my work very inspiring. 😀
