Ha ! Yes, I was thinking that it resembled something hanging from the lips. 😀
The Andy Capp connection is perfect. I was recently sorting through some old books (again) and came across a paperback collection of Andy Capp cartoon-strips. My folks really laughed at those. Considering current attitudes to his foibles, especially his treatment of Flo, I wondered if Andy had become too politically incorrect for the times.
