It is the remains of a snowmobile trail leading down to the lake. Snowmobile season is over and the trails at the time the photo was taken were pretty well gone, depending on how much sunlight hit them and the type of drainage.
Went with an aged high contrast style to emphasize the passage of time and the transformation of the trails.
