Many thanks. Age, gender, cultural background & country differ, yet behind the lens there is common ground and the internet allows us to discover the similarities. Mass Media has such a potential to bring down barriers and unite, yet so many still seek to use it to throw up wall and condemning the different. All we can do is reach to find kindred spirits – create, communicate & share ideas. 🙂
They are starting to clean up brush and broken limbs along the public trails. It is being piled up at one end of the beach park. Latest addition was portion of a birch tree. Added real character and perspective to the pile. 😀

Well I think the gamma and contrast came out really well in these. (And need I mention the tones?)

I am such an old comic book geek, when you say gamma the first thing that pops in my head is The Incredible Hulk ( I really find the smart versions grey & green more interesting). 😀
I work with PaintShop Pro and Color Efex Pro & Virtual Photographer plug-in. 🙂

Ahhh….you should really check out Nik’s filters “silver Efex Pro”- it’s for B&W lovers and I use it for almost every pic. It’s pretty fantastic. (I haven’t heard of Paintshop Pro in almost a decade!) Gimp is pretty good too. I used to do Lightroom but now I’m pretty much just a Photoshop girl. :0)

My only experience is with Photoshop Elements ( it was what we had to work with the students at school) and my budget restricted me to PaintShop ( part of Corel, which at least originally was Canadian) initially and I became very comfortable with it. Efex came bundled with PaintShop I also have an appreciation of the underdog (both metaphorical and the cartoon character) – Adobe, Microsoft & Apple are all Evil Empires trying to seduce our souls ( they do it so well too). 😀

Love the textural image of the Tulip, and also your comment about the Earth making ammends for Winter

Thanks. I believe your comment is intended for a different post. 🙂 That is okay, we insecure polite Canadians need lots of support.
