a bird in the hand……. is smaller than a Canada Goose or even those ducks.

Geese & Ducks GF May 9

A wet overcast day full of mist & drizzle, the birds leisurely floated by as the lighting kept changing. Many of my shots were very disappointing and those that had  any potential required creative processing to be of any value.

  1. Nice. I’d fix the horizon in #2. Your call.

Thanks. I had modified it a bit. I find I get a lot of odd shots up here. I was standing level, and had the camera level, yet the lines look wrong. The terrain here never matches from where you stand to what you are looking at. The highway and the parking area at the far end of the lake are sloped to the right in comparison to the lake’s surface, and I may have not compensated enough in adjusting the image.

The town of Elliot Lake is built on Northern Ontario’s Canadian Shield. The joke was that the guys that designed the layout were drunk – hardly a straight line or a level road anywhere. When my mother’s cousin came for a visit, she said the place reminded her San Francisco, ,,,,,,,only with a lot more rocks, trees and smaller. 😀
