Thanks Meanderer. These were taken while standing right by the front door. Sometimes you do not have to travel far for another vision of the world. 🙂 Plus I am becoming phobic about slipping on ice. 😀

      • I agree. There is so much wonder to be seen from a door or window. I also share your worries about slipping on ice, although we haven’t had any snow or ice so far this Winter – a couple of mornings of light frost have marked the extent of the cold temps we’ve had.

Thanks Ashley. We are just now getting out of a severe cold snap. We had now hot water in the kitchen Saturday and Sunday the cold water was not running. The pipe froze – outdoor temp went down to minus 47 Celsius during the night. With assistance from the neighbour we were able to use a small micro heater to warm the pipes and get the flow back.

We are now headed towards plus 1 Celsius. This has been a winter of record breaking swings.

      • And some people don’t believe in global warming!

They had to cancel the Annual Ice Fishing Derby because there has been a layer of slush/water on top of the ice. This is a big loss – there would be 400-500 holes drilled for those participating. Climate change produces social change.
