Existential Friday: Free Rest Spot

Free Rest Spot - Antique Perspective

Free Rest Spot

While out for a walk in March, when the weather thought it was Spring, spotted this Free chair. I had to take a picture because that is what Ashley ( Syncopated Eye ) would do – document free roaming chairs. Ashley brings a quirky modern art aesthetic to her shots.  Her urban environment  combine with her creative view to bring a wonderful existential minimalism to her chair compositions.

My suburbia  in the North Ontario wilderness seems busier somehow. My aesthetic choice turned to antique retro colours- a response to the gritty melting snow heaps and the drab browns of winter’s remains.  I was walking the dog and had the phone/camera – in case of photo potential or emergency. So, here I was, trying to take shot while holding the leash – the dog is patient, but confused by why I was stopping.  Muttering to myself about the darn*8/*  dog leash, I heard a voice say “mumbley*6*?/ (sounds) dog leash”. My phone apparently was listening and went internet searching.  I had “know idea” it was listening and trying to be helpful. An existential mass media moment – free seat and a search for meaning/information.
