What if Wednesday: Clowning Around With Search Engines





The Wang Wang Blues performed by Paul Whiteman  & his Orchestra.  The song was released as a 78 single by Whiteman and his Orchestra featuring Henry Busse on trumpet. Paul Whiteman recorded the song on August 9, 1920 in Camden, New Jersey. The song was released in December, 1920 as a Victor 78 single. The song is a pop and jazz standard.

In one of the earliest incidents of creepy clowns this year, teenagers who were photographed in August wearing clown masks and wielding a chain allegedly chased kids home from a park in Gatineau, Que.




Clowns Mump and Smoot, won two Dora Mavor Moore Awards in 2003. They were also nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for Comedic Play (Mump & Smoot in Flux) and are past recipients of a Canadian Comedy Award for Outstanding Performance in a Comedic Play.
