Broken Memories

Standing outside the Veterinarian’s office on a Saturday –

taking random photos,

keeping my mind on composition and lines.

Will have to comeback later,

alone at home when the call comes –

an unexpected outcome,

the cat would not be coming home.

Memories & emotions break –

vivid colours and hard contrasts –

framed in a question;

How do you to tell sweet Downs daughter,

her  Zorro-cat won’t be coming home ?

Weeks later –

preparing images, composing lines –

still broken in hard vivid contrasts.

I will eventually tell the whole story of Natasha Rose and her Zorro-cat, but it took me time to just compose this post. I’ve been concentrating on my compositions on Implied Spaces and working through things.

  3. I’m so sorry about Zorro Cat. Your sweet girl must have been devastated. It must have been very hard for you to have to bring her the sad news. These are the times when you wish you could magically make all the hurt go away, Joseph. I hope you and your family are all finding your way through the sadness.

It hit me much harder than I anticipated. Tasha is getting along, surprisingly well. We are considering getting a kitten, in the hopes that they bond. Zorro had claimed her from the moment he walked in the door – a therapy animal already to take on the job. Not something you can replicate easily. 🙂

      • No I don’t think you can, either. There will be no replacing Zorro, but that doesn’t mean Tasha can’t start fresh with a new friend.

Difficult times – this was not our first loss, but the connection to Tasha made it much more difficult.

Putting energy into Implied Spaces posts, as I look at social & political clouds spreading. May not change anything, but creative expression improves the mood.
